Bobby Ray Smith

He was born to Helen Jones of Toombs County in October 24, 1952. The oldest of six, he was educated in the Vidalia Public Schools. He begin working for Coca Cola in 1972, after 5 years he joined Piggly Wiggly where he worked for 14 years. He resigned from Piggly Wiggly to work for the Vidalia Police Department. For the next ten years he served as a patrolman, detective, and eventually started the D.A.R.E. Program. D.A.R.E. being his greatest passion. He left the Vidalia P.D. to join the Toombs County Sheriff's Office, where he also started the DARE Program. He has gained more responsibility in the last few years working in D.A.R.E. He has served as Sergeant-At-Arms, Vice President and Regional Three Director of the Georgia Dare Officers Association and was elected to the highest position ever when he became President for the State of Georgia in 2005, and still holds this position at the present time.

He is a member of First African Baptist Church where he spearheads the Men's Ministry. He is the husband of former Denise Beasley. Bobby has a son and a daughter-in -law, Jerrell and Dionne and daughter, Vantresia. His biggest joy comes in his grandchildren, Kameron, John, Joshua, Kaysey, and Nathaniel. He enjoys watching baseball, football, and NASCAR racing and is an avid Florida State and University of Georgia fan.


Investigator Jaime Villegas

He is currently employed with the Toombs County Sheriff's Office as an Investigator. He began his employment with the Toombs County Sheriff's Office in January 2000 where He went to Basic Law Enforcement Training and was assigned to the Patrol Division as a Deputy Sheriff. He was promoted to the Investigation Division as an Investigator in 2005 where he is currently assigned to Investigations and Dare.
